8. Te Iringa - Waterfall Showers
Waterfalls known as Wairere or Te Iringa.
Located around The Bay of Plenty there are many waterfalls within the region. As waterfalls are very mythicle they embody a tranquil feeling when you site one.
Due to the eruption in 1886 of Tarawera Maunga (mountain), there was an increase in hot spring activity. When the explosion occurred, parts of the land was destroyed in the process and made mutiple effects in changes.
Steam, ash and mud was discharged from the land below, causing surface changes throughout the region.
The impact created much of the natural resources you see today, the waterfalls being one that are seen throughout the region of Waiariki.
