PURCHASES AND BOOKINGS
By purchasing goods and services from us, including through the use of this website (www.wai-ariki.co.nz), you confirm that you accept these terms and conditions and agree to comply with them. If your purchase of a good or service is for another person, it is your responsibility to ensure that person has reviewed these terms and conditions and that they agree to comply with them.
Pricing is shown in New Zealand dollars and is inclusive of GST. Pricing for goods and services may be amended by us at any time and changes will be placed on our website. Variation of pricing may apply on public holidays, peak and non-peak periods. Check our website for pricing updates prior to your visit.
Nothing in these terms is intended to have the effect of contracting out of the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) or the Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA) except to the extent permitted by those Acts.
WAI ARIKI HOT SPRINGS AND SPA SCHEDULED OPENING DATE AND BOOKINGS
Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa is currently scheduled to open in June 2023. This date is indicative only and is subject to change. Gift Certificate holders and customers wishing to book or purchase goods and services should check the website for any updates on the opening date and for information about when bookings will open. Bookings can be made via this website once the bookings go live and customers will be able to book prior to the Wai-Ariki Hot Springs and Spa opening date.
For Gift Certificate holders, in the event that the Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa opening date is delayed until after June 2023, and as a result of that delay the Gift Voucher holder is no longer able to visit within the voucher expiry period, the voucher may be transferred to another person, or may be fully refunded.
The supply of alcohol as part of a pre-purchased package is conditional on the premises obtaining an OnLicense for the sale and supply of alcohol. In the event that an OnLicense has not been granted at the time of your booking, Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa reserves the right to replace alcohol purchased as part of a package with an equivalent value food and beverage option that may be selected by the customer from the available menu on site.
PREPAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS
Please note, prepayment is made at the time of your booking. Bookings will be fully refunded if cancelled up to 48 hours prior to the time of your scheduled visit. Bookings cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice will incur a 100% charge. Please contact us directly as soon as possible to avoid the late cancellation fee.
GIFT CERTIFICATES
Gift Certificates sold through Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa are redeemable at Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa only. Certificates can be redeemed for any treatment or packages of the same value, or you can upgrade by paying extra. International exchange rates may apply.
Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced. Gift Certificates are not transferable for cash. Gift Certificates are non-refundable. There are no limits on the number of transactions, the card cannot be topped up or reloaded and will expire in 3 years from the date of issue.
Gift Certificates made out for Day Spa Treatments, or Spa Packages still need to be booked in advance. Once you have received your voucher please contact info@wai-ariki.co.nz to book your treatment. Please have your voucher number on hand when booking your treatment.
Gift vouchers do not provide guaranteed entry into the facility. All bathing and treatment bookings are subject to availability.
VISITING WAI ARIKI HOT SPRINGS AND SPA
Wheelchair accessibility
We have accessible parking, change rooms and toilets.
Pool hoists are available in most of our pools and bathing options.
At the time of booking, customers should discuss their requirements with our reservations team to help us ensure that the accessible options are available. Some accessible options must be booked in advance to ensure their availability.
Some of our experiences are not accessible due to the nature of the feature. Please contact our reservations team for more details.
Age Restrictions
Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa is open to people aged 16 and over only.
Food and Drink
No external food or drink is allowed at Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa. You may bring a refillable water bottle (non-glass).
Mobile phones and cameras
Your mobile phone can be used to read our QR codes and guide you through your journey throughout the building.
Should you wish to take photos, for the courtesy and privacy for all our guests, we advise that you only include you and/or other members of your party inside the photo frames. Please ensure discretion.
ARRIVING FOR YOUR BOOKING
Once a booking is made you will receive a confirmation email that will clearly state an arrival time. This is when your Wai Ariki Hot Springs & Spa experience begins and we recommend that you arrive at that designated time. Customers that arrive after the stated arrival time may have their visit times shortened as we cannot guarantee changes to booking times at short notice.
We have allowed plenty of time for you to enjoy our geo-thermal springs and the Wai Ariki experience, but if you have booked a spa treatment, please allow 15 minutes to change and relax. On arrival our spa receptionist will invite you into the lounge and ask you to complete a consultation form if you haven’t already done so. Your therapist will then discuss your treatment within the privacy of your spa suite.
RESPONSIBILITY
By entering Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa you acknowledge that there are risks and hazards associated with Hot Springs and Spas. While Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa takes safety seriously and has controls in place to eliminate and mitigate risks so far as is reasonably practicable, customers must also take reasonable steps to ensure their own safety while at Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa.
Customers must follow the instructions of staff and signs at Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa at all times, and must act responsibly at all times. Customers must follow any reasonable safety instruction from Lifeguards without delay or objection. Customers should notify staff immediately in the event of any injury, risk of injury, or if feeling unwell. If you are feeling unwell before your booking, please contact us to reschedule.
By entering Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa you accept risk of personal property loss or damage while at the property and acknowledge that you are responsible for ensuring the safety of your personal property while at Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa. Customers should notify staff immediately in the event of any personal property loss or damage.
EVICTION NOTICE
Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa reserves the right to refuse entry or evict any person(s) from the premises immediately and without notice or refund if you are in breach of any of these terms, or for any disturbances or unruly behaviour causing disruption to other guests or any other reasonable reason.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions at any time and changes will be placed on our website. Customers will not be directly personally contacted. Check our website for updates prior to your visit. Customers will be required to accept and comply with any updates to the terms and conditions as part of their booking and/or visit to Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa.
All information contained on this website, including but not limited to - imagery, graphics, text, product details, logos and text is for the exclusive use of Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa and may not be copied, altered or reproduced without our prior written permission.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Except as expressly otherwise provided by the CGA, the FTA or any other statutory requirement:

the amount of our liability will be limited to the price of the relevant good or service concerned; and

we will not be liable for any consequential loss or lost profit or business whether suffered or incurred by you or another person and whether in contract, or tort, or otherwise.
Where you acquire goods and/or services from us for the purposes of a business the parties acknowledge and agree that the parties are in trade, the goods and services are both supplied and acquired in trade and that all warranties, conditions, and other terms implied by the CGA are excluded from these terms to the fullest extent permitted by law. The parties further acknowledge and agree that it is fair and reasonable that the parties are bound by this clause.

FORCE MAJEURE
We will not be liable for any failure or delay in complying with any obligation imposed on us under these terms if the failure or delay arises directly or indirectly from a cause reasonably beyond our control.
